MY Foundation (MYF) aims to promote, develop and nurture an all-encompassing, holistic community based on the tenets and values of the Ahlulbayt [as] & the Shia Ithna Asheri faith by fulfilling the potential of its community, engaging with wider society, and responding to the needs of humanity.

We are embarking on a new community centre project and would kindly request that you read through this brochure. For our vision of a prosperous community to be realised we need your duas, help and support.

Meet The Trustees

Dr. Syed Raza Naqvi
Syed Raza studied at The Manchester Grammar School, following which he completed an undergraduate degree and Masters in Pharmacy. Syed Raza furthered his studies and completed a postgraduate in Medicine at the University of Nottingham. He currently works as a doctor in the National Health Service.
Syed Raza joined MYF in 2006 as part of the youth quran classes on offer, and in 2012 was appointed as the chairman of the organisation, a position which he has held since.
During his time as chairman, Syed Raza has pushed for reform in providing more youth services and covering areas of social issues in community as well as continued enhancement of Islamic events throughout the year.

Mr. Syed Muhammad Dawood Jafree
Syed Dawood comes from a professional finance background having worked for a Global Consulting firm in London and New York.
Currently working as Director at Numerix. Syed Dawood brings his risk management expertise and the full force of his corporate experience to MYF in his day to day activities.
Syed Dawood hails from Manchester where he completed his Masters in Economics from the University of Manchester and is a former graduate of the MYF classes where he spent 4 years and immediately joined the MYF committee in several roles since 2008, before assuming the role of Vice Chair.

Mr. Syed Mohammed Musaddique Abedi
Syed Musaddique joined the MYF team in 2013, initially serving as the head of Media Management. He earned his degree in Media Production from the University of Wolverhampton and completed his master's degree in Post Production at the University of Salford.
After completing his studies, Syed Musaddique worked with leading media organizations like the BBC and Endemol. He is currently involved with high-profile individuals in the digital content space. As the founder and director of M5 Digital Ltd UK, he plays a vital role in the media operations at MYF, utilizing his expertise, background knowledge, and taking on a range of responsibilities.

Mr. Masoom Hashmi
Masoom has been part of MYF for over 15 years, beginning as a student in the Saturday school, Masoom progressed into a dedicated volunteer before taking on an official role within the core committee in 2017.
After graduating from the University of Manchester with a degree in Accounting and Finance, Masoom pursued further studies, ultimately becoming a qualified chartered accountant. Presently, Masoom works at Deloitte while simultaneously overseeing the treasury function at MYF.

Sisters Lead
Sr. Feeza Ali
Feeza Ali has been an active volunteer for three years, dedicated to fostering a strong and engaged community for sisters.
As the Sister Representative at MYF, she plays a key role in welcoming new volunteers, facilitating interaction both online and in person, and ensuring sisters feel empowered to take on leadership roles. She also oversees regular sister catchups, from formal meetings to social gatherings, creating a supportive and inclusive space within MYF.
Currently studying A-level Maths, Physics, and Economics, Feeza aspires to become a pilot and brings her passion for leadership and organisation to MYF in her day-to-day role.

Aspire Lead
Sr. Mehreen Fatima Naqvi
Mehreen is currently a medical student at the University of Nottingham. Prior to pursuing her long-term passion for medicine, she obtained a BSc (Hons) in applied medical sciences and went on to complete a Masters in Cardiovascular Health and Disease from the University of Manchester.
As the MYF Aspire lead, Mehreen is dedicated to expanding and developing the MYF aspire initiative- a comprehensive scheme aimed at empowering youth through career development, mentorship, and skill-building opportunities. Her goal is to enhance the program’s reach, providing youth the guidance and resources they need to achieve their ambitions while staying connected to their faith and values.
Looking ahead, MYF aspire envisions building the leaders of tomorrow- equipping the next generation with the knowledge, confidence, and spiritual grounding to make a meaningful impact in their communities and beyond.

Aspire Co-Lead
Sr. Laiba Hasnain Naqvi
Laiba is a Nursing student at the University of Bradford.
Her future goals are to gain a masters in paediatric nursing. With MYF Aspire, she aims to make a meaningful impact in my community by actively promoting Aspire’s mission through educational initiatives, mentorship, and leadership opportunities.
IShe is passionate about educational and skills development, ensuring that members of the community have access to the right guidance, resources, and opportunities to grow both personally and professionally. Through MYF Aspire, she hopes to organise skills sessions, networking opportunities, general knowledge around different fields, career workshops, leadership training, and community engagement projects that inspire and empower
